Last updated April 2026 · pilot draft
Baskit is in a 85044 pilot. We take privacy seriously because the product doesn't work if we're careless with data. This is the short version — an expanded, legal-review'd policy will replace it before we leave pilot.
What we collect
- Email address when you join the waitlist.
- Your Apple ID when you sign in (via Sign In with Apple). Apple relays either your real email or a private relay address — we never see your Apple ID password.
- Shopping lists + baskets you create inside the app — scoped to your account via Supabase Row-Level Security.
- Approximate location (While Using, permission-gated) to show nearby stores and driving distances. Coordinates never leave the device unless you submit a trip report that includes them.
- Basic app analytics via PostHog — screen views, button taps, crashes. No individual-user identification beyond your Supabase ID.
What we do not collect
- We do not log in to your grocery store accounts. Ever. All pricing comes from public retailer APIs and public weekly-ad data.
- We do not sell your data. There are no ad networks, no third-party trackers beyond PostHog (self-hostable) and Sentry (crash reports).
- We do not use your location for any purpose beyond rendering the stores screen and driving directions.
Retention
Account data lives as long as your account. Delete your account from inside the app and we wipe your lists, baskets, and profile within 30 days. Waitlist emails are purged when you unsubscribe.
Who to ask
Email privacy@trybaskit.app for anything — questions, deletion requests, "what do you have on me?" We respond within 5 business days.
